About me
Hello! My name is Dr. Craig Nathanson. I have an MA and PhD in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Toronto. I received additional training in statistics, economics, and accounting from Harvard Business School Online. My studies involved in-depth research and courses in statistics, research methods, psychometrics, and test / survey design. I started providing statistics consulting while in graduate school as one of only a handful of students selected by the faculty to provide this service.
Since graduating in 2008, I worked at a large test publishing company and at the medical regulatory agency for Ontario, Canada’s most populous province. During this time, I expanded my knowledge and experience base in novel statistical techniques and communicating to audiences with varying levels of statistical knowledge. I consulted extensively with policymakers and government agencies in guiding large-scale, impactful projects. I also served as a reviewer numerous grant proposals and scientific articles.
After taking some time off to help raise our daughter, I started providing statistical consulting services again in 2022, where I worked closely with a number of researchers across different areas of medicine. As part of my volunteer work, I serve on the board of a violin conservatory. I also worked on a series of grant proposals that brought in helped bring in over $20,000 in donations to charitable organizations.
I continue to provide statistical consulting to a wide, diverse audience in the academic, public, and private sectors. I am confident that I can provide you with the guidance and expertise necessary to bring your projects to fruition.
